I hope this makes sense.

Does Xbox Live allow one to have multiple FFXI accounts on one machine?

I'm thinking the answer is yes, since I'm assuming the POL viewer will be the same (or is it?).

Just looking at my options when my PS2 goes down. I a PC version too, but I like playing on my T.V. its more comfortable despite the crappy graphics.

Xbox Live does not control how many accounts you may have per se.

When you create and register a POL account for FFXI on Xbox 360 you are required to link that account to a Gamertag.

NOTE: You will forever be unable to unlink the Gamertag and the POL account (unless SE/Xbox decides to change this). But that is not to say you can not use the POL account on PC.

So you will need 1 Gamertag for every 1 POL FFXI account you wish to play on Xbox 360.
Being as how Gamertags are free with Silver live, it's just a pain in the arse to go through.
