Whats with the NM´s

I noticed that alot of people are talking about NM´s (I know that it means Notorius Monster) But what is så speccial about them?

And dont complain on my bad english om from Sweden.

I thought it was Named Monster but I'm always wrong. Anyways, they probably drop keys and quest related items. They also probably drop higher level/better items than the non NM ones. I think that they are monsters with names like "Jack the big eared steppe hare". All of the above was a complete guess:sweat: :sweat: Please correct me if I'm wrong:biggrin:
