What's your favorite FFXI world-area song (music)?

Ok, there have been many excellant final fantasy scores all throughout Vana'diel. My question to you would be: So far, what is your favorite song, thus far?

Mine would be Oldton Movopolis. It has a really cool mine-feel to it. It's nice relaxing music to listen to while I'm mining down there. :D

yeah oldton is nice. i haven't finished CoP so i don't know all the areas music but i like altepa the best i guess. i just love to think arabian nights(now i can in whitegate)

Are you sure? I was just assuming he was the composer for 11, mainly because he's done the previous games.

Nope, he composed some of the music for 11. I checked on gamefaqs and his personal site.

Uematsu has left SE as an employee. He works independently now, though SE does hire him for some projects (FF:AC for instance). I though the sound tracks for FFXI were done by the Tactics people. Not that that's a bad thing.

It's a shame he couldn't do all of them. Ronfaure and the airship songs are excellant pieces of music, IMO. He's a great composer.

Area's music I like best as is: Aydeewa Subterrane; although I think that's partially the fact that the first time we heard that song, they announced Puppetmaster. Although it was kind of a let-down, the pure energy in the room when they showed that was amazing.


Area i'd most like to see music for: Riverne.

I like the music an Aydeewa, but it's so laid back. When I was partying there with my rdm, my party decided to fight this Qiqirn, and the battle was crazy. Bombs going everywhere, people running all over the room trying to corner the little bastard. But I, not engaged, was hearing that peaceful music that was so wrong for what was going on and it really threw off my rhythm.

I level my low level jobs at ronfaure for the sole purpose of listening to that awesome music. (even though my nation is windurst)

For Areas, I liked most of the battle songs, but mainly the dungeon theme. Also, Gustaberg, and Kazam songs were cool.

I have to say, as jazzy and fun as the music is on the ferry to Aht Urghan, it is not jazzy and fun enough to distract me from the long-ass ride I have to take to get there. I don't see why it has to take so long. Seriously. I know that one day when I'm a big boy of 60 I can use an Oldumm ring, but that's a long way off, and I suppose I really don't need to go to Aht Urghan, but maybe I want to, you know? Maybe I want to visit Nashmau and stock up on...things. And stuff. And maybe I want to do so in less time than it takes to watch an episode of The Office. Even though I love The Office, and would watch it regardless of my ferry status. I'm just saying.

Meanwhile, the music is jazzy and fun. /dances

Few of the tracks are Nobuo's, like Ronfaure and Prelude. But most of them are the work of Naoshi Mizuta, or Kumi Tanioka. Naoshi has done major of the tracks though.

And my favourite tracks are Ronfaure, Kazham, and Mog House.

I really like Ronfaure and Gustaberg. the gustaberg remix is really good, u can get it from itunes the guitar is quite good. ^_^ i also like aht Urghan whitegates music its catchy :P
