Problems with the Final Fantasy XI update!!

Hello

I was just wondering if anyone who plays FFXI online for the PC, can help me with a problem I am having please.

Everytime the update for FFXI tries to install, I seem to get an error.

"Error code: POL-1153, Problems with the HDD data were detected. Version update failed"

Can you please tell me what's the problem and how this can be fixed?

Note: This error happens when the updates is checking for the files, which there are around 15000, the most it has got to is 40% then fails:(

Before you login get to the "check file" on the first menu. Have it check those files to see if it errors there too. If it does some of the data might be corrupt and need re-installed to fix.

Could it be a hardware problem? Running Disk Defrag also checks for (and blocks off) bad areas of the hard drive.
