View Full Version : So I ....
Accidentally mpk'd an RMT last night over Zipacna. Darkxy, if you're reading this, I'm terribly sorry. You were labeled as an RMT by my Sky LS and I had to make an effort to claim past you even when I was in weakened condition (raise sickness) Your death was just bonus to everyone else I guess. >_<;;
erm, you're better off just telling him ingame, no? You just nonintentially gave him a bad name here.

(1) I don't know how to speak Mandarin.
(2) There is no Chinese client for those RMT players.
(3) This posts doubles as a humor post.

you can type in only kanji. O.o

If the Chinese don't know Japanese, how can they phonetically know what Kanji is associated with the sounds? So a Chinese using a JP client who does not understand JP = a Klingan trying to speak French.
And +50 pts to Balfree for getting the idea.
... Kanji in jp means the same thing in chinese... well, i was assuming you knew what the kanji meant to begin with, not just the sounds.

OR, do you even know how IME works?
I type:
Asa
and hit space. Up pops a list of possible Kanji association with the sound "asa" and the order of the listing is associated by the common or frequent usage of the kanji to the sound.
A chinese who do not know the Japanese phoenetic words (I call these key words) that is associated with the Kanji cannot in anyway be able to pull it up. AFAIK, the client (JP) does not work with any Chinese Windows OS out there, even when they have their own IME (It only pulls up a Kanji associated with Pin Yin, but then as they enter it in to the game client, the client will automatically revert the closest UNICODE key and you'll get garbage instead)
Koreans can approximate the sounds since they are semi-fluent in Japanese (Due to the requirements in grade schools to learn the langauge) But not so with Chinese (Plus, I thought the Chinese hate the Japanese, so if anything, english is probably the 3rd or 4th language they learn after standard Mandarin and their own dialect within the province they live in)
And hence them trying to interact with other people via Pin Yin (low grade romanization of approx chinese phoenetics) and crappy ass english...
I think you misunderstood me.
I know that jp ime and chinese ime is different.
When you were replying to mog's post how you dont speak mandarin and theres no chinese client, I meant that you could type in all kanji to tell the GS what you wrote here. They would understand you mocking them if you used all kanji to communicate. Yes they wouldnt be able to reply back to you if they didnt know how to use romaji and such and also if they didnt have the jp client.
Thanks for the semi-cultural lesson though.
