Your server's legendary gimp RDMs are all flocking to BLU like flies to sh*t?

I ran by one of our most GIMP RDMs on the server last night. He'd actually party as RDM/THF or RDM/NIN (he always said he wants to be a battle mage). He had a level 40 BLU. I also noticed another one who in my LS at level 75, had said, "OMG, I just found out how to make macros, these things are great!" (I'm 100% serious, this is no joke. ; ; ) He has a level SIXTY freaking BLU. There was one I partied wit at 66 on my BLM, who meleed with a dagger, and didn't enfeeble. When he was asked to enfeeble, he simply fake-DCed. He has a level 55 BLU right now. Soooo, you guys think this is funny, or am I the only one who's noticed it?

BLU is what RDM never was, but was supposed to be.

However, I don't get the gimp RDM part. 75, and macros? either he was joking, or thats a bought account.

No, he wasn't, and it wasn't a bought account. He just seriously sucks. I've known two people who didn't buy their accounts, and have said that.......... They just suck at this game. I mean, I've seriously known this dude for about 2 years now, lol. He never bought gil, but I very recently learned he stole the account of a friend of mine, stripped it, then sold it to IGE. Which would explain why he went from mining, to Having HQ staves, and 3/5 pieces of BLOOD (HQ Crimson) gear. So he's on my blacklist (only person so far).

The bolded part doesn't make alot of sense to me. I myself play a 75 red mage, not as often as usual, but your statement is not entirely true. It is true that both job classes take up the role of "Jack of All Trades." That they can almost do anything whether it be support, offensive, tank, solo, etc. But I believe you are wrong in trying to say that one job should of been like the other.

Rdm can't melee like Blu can during parties. It's near impossible. Not only that, but Blu is a better melee than rdm ever was. And from what I've heard and seen, blu doesn't have the survivability that rdm has. So you have one class that's offensively oriented-- both in melee and magic, and another that's support and defensively oriented. I think he's trying to say that RDM should've been more like a battle mage than a supporter. Which I have to agree with.
