View Full Version : How do I get to Proto-Ultima and Proto-Omega in Limbus?

I run my linkshell's Limbus runs and I am having trouble finding this information.
(I suppose I fail at teh internets)

Our runs are not mandatory events, but rather casual runs for farming AF+1
materials and Ancient Beastcoins. We only have about 10 people come per
run and usually less than this. (Hopefully more will attend as more of my
linkshell gets Sea access) Well, I didn't think we could clear any areas, but
now I think we might be able to, so I wanted to find out in advance what we
need to do to get to fight Proto-Ultima or Proto-Omega.

I assumed getting to them has something to do with the chips you get for
clearing, but I wanted to see if I could get some specifics.

Also, if you fight one of them, does it count as a trip to Limbus? (so you have
to wait 3 days before you can go in again)

Thanks in advance.

Yes it counts as a trip to Limbus. Yes the chips are what you need to get in. You'll need all of them to enter. I believe we did Proto Omega recently (the one where he has 4 appendages and is either on 2 or 4 at any given time). A tip for that one, have a couple of nin tanks. We have tried pld tanking via kiting and it either didn't work well or we barely got away with it. So we tried nin tanks and bingo, let them straight tank and its pretty much a breeze. Good luck!

Thanks so much for that info! I was afraid you had to buy one of those
metal chips from Sagheera for 75 Ancient Beastcoins...

I have one more question (for now, lol)... does the same person have to
hold all of the chips? (I think they are rare/ex)

I have limbus access, but haven't done it yet, but i THINK everyone has to have the chips. But, since I haven't won limbus, I don't know how many chips the chest gives you after you finish apollyn/temenos, Im really not sure. It would probably make sense if one person had all four chips and just entered the battlefield first. But like I said, Im not totally sure.

Yes, one person has the chips. Since they are rare/ex make sure whoever holds them happens to be someone you can count on to be there for the event.

Now it seemed to me that when he was on 2 legs he was nastier than when he was on 4 legs. If you are kiting, Gravity is VERY important when he's on 4 legs because he's a hell of a lot faster even if the kiter has fast pants. When he's on 2 legs he takes melee dmg and when he's on 4 he's highly resistant because he has high def.

Thanks again (^_^)

I hope my Linkshell can fight one of them soon.
