Just looking for clarification

Well hello everyone on Alexander!!!


I figure this would be the best place to ask this. I have read all the forums and threads that i could find on the 2-3 Mission for bastok, when it comes to the Black Dragon that i need to defeat in Windy i am still a little shady. One post says anyone who has already completed the mission can enter, others say only those who have completed the mission and fought the same dragon can go in. Which is it? I am planning on fighting it sometime this weekend and i don't want to get a party together just to find out that 3 of the members can't go in. So if anyone has more insite into this matter I would greatly appreciate the INFO!!

If you're rank 3+, then you can go in, or if you're on the same mission and need to fight the same dragon. Any higher rank friends you have can help you out on it. When I did it years ago, we had people in our party who had beaten all three dragons while helping various people do it. (I think I even did the Bastok one later on, but its too long to remember which one I did the second time around.)

Ok thanks. now i am a 27Rdm/12Blm at the moment......i know i will be capped at 25, is there a certain group i should put together for a better success rate or is the Dragon and Eye Fairly easy that 2 healers and 2 Tanks a BLM and myself be able to handle it.

If people are even halfway competent, its a joke. Apple Pie has solo'd it as a RDM, and I know several people who duo'd it. Get decent gear, and either sleep the dragon or the flyer first. (Seen it done both ways.) ES the sleep too, just to make sure it sticks and last for a bit. Then pick one, hack away at it, then kill the other. It really not too hard. Two tanks, a blm, and a rdm attacking, and two people keeping them alive should be more than enough.

Duo'd this dragon a while back as BRD25/WHM12 with a MNK25/WAR12. Easy as pie. Get a level 25+ monk to Hundred Fists, Sleep the dragon, and coast to an easy win (but don't forget a couple holy water and hipotions for emergencies in case of Curse).

I beat the dragon this morning with no problem what so ever thanks again for the info guys.

Clear time was 9 min 12 sec i know i know nothing special but we beat it finally
