need help

i finished installing final fantasy XI pc and created my account and everything also got it to update.

and now the one part im stuck on is...

it saying "???????? Windows???????" then told me to either click yes or no.
I click on yes and no, but wouldnt let me get into the game itself.

Im running 1.8ghz pentium 4, Geforce 4 ti 4200, directX 8.1, 256ddr ram, windows 2000, and 200g HD.

can anyone please help?

PS. im guessing the question marks on the side are explaining something since my machine wasn't really based to play a japanese game.

oh i forgot to mention that when i finished updating it sent me out to my desktop then asked me about the "????????Windows??????", if that would help anyone help me out. please I would like to get started on this game.

You need to make sure that the default language for your computer is now japanese. The ?????? means that the font used to display these characters is not installed correctly. usually if you see ????? Windows???, its generally asking you to reboot windows. I know this question was answered many time in this forum so try doing a search and see what comes up. I know that I havn't included all the details of this problem because I dont know them all. Ganbare~!!~
