Unsure if anyone else finds this, but recently I've been getting asked to go EXP on my BLM in ToAU. Now, I don't mind going out to the new area and all, but I refuse to keep my HP out there, as I prefer to be somewhere I feel is a little more suited to what I wish to do.

Anyway, the invite comes in, I keep Home Point = Jeuno in my search comment. Teleport myself out and go to catch the boat.

3 times lately I've arrived in Whitegate, send a tell to the party leader to invite me, only to be greeted with a reply of "Oh we got someone else now".

Just wondering, but why don't people have the patience to wait for a few mins? I'll be keeping my HP in Jeuno, tempted to refuse all ToAU parties from now on. Either that, or start taking names and do some MPK's when they're elsewhere.

lol... well i heard that they got rid of MPKs... thats a shame... so ToAU is accessible from the get go? u dun have to do anything special to complete any missions to get there? srry i nver really got into CoP and i stopped playing shortly after the release of that expansion... but im coming back! and hopefully someone can get me a wp...

Yeah, I have everything accessable, but I choose to keep my home point at Jeuno.

You can still MPK. Only way to do it is an NM that aggro's. I pulled it off the other night in Yhoator Jungle. Was testing something, turned out I could keep casting Stun on Woodland Sage, and run with it right to the EXP area. Dropped it onto our RMT's, and killed off about 25 people total.

awesome! i was worried that some newb could accidently attack a nm zone it and it would disapear... then u would have to wait for the nm to spawn again... im glad they made it so an nm wouldnt disapear...

It was fun taking a Lv60 Treant NM into a place where Lv27 were trying to level. Add that is uses Benediction too...

Get yourself an Olduum Ring or stop accepting invites to ToAU areas. It's not practical to ask people to wait for you to finish a 20 minute ferry ride to get to town, much less to camp.

It hasn't just happened to ToAU come to think of it. I've gone to join parties at Sky, only to get there and told I was no longer needed. It's more a manners thing, something you wouldn't know about unless you were on Hades.

I only get party invites when I'm in dunes o_o I wouldn't accept an invite if I was like in Windurst and someone asks me to get to Dunes to train (unless it was a friend).

O.O

I set my HP in alzabi. The free teleport to jeuno is quite handy. I cant see why people wouldnt want to be there... very little tax with AH, every guild shop, alot of vendors for materials usually required to many crafts, best exp-spots ever...

Why not just set your HP there and go to jeuno through the free tele?

good point Balfree.... I never thought of it that way.

I'm reasonably sure the warp costs, I also prefer Jeuno due to me usually going to solo on the top-tier Quadav in Beadeaux while I'm LFP. Add the fact I'm usually going on LS events spur of the moment in sky and HNM camps, that cost would soon add up. Much more logical to stay in Jeuno.

No, you can do the free porter (random) to Jeuno.

You can land in 5 places:

Qufim
Sauromugue
Rolanberry
Batallia
Ru'Lude Gardens

Now, for the first 4, you will always land within a minute walk to the zone. Actually, Qufim is a bit further out than the others, with Sauromugue being 2nd farthest and then Rolanberry and finallly Batallia spot is the closest to zone.

It's free. And I bet I'm still faster than you getting to Jeuno.

home point in jeuno is slow now, i have my HP in the (nonexistant) al zhabi hp crystal, and im not moving from there :P

the free warp taru to jeuno is just right hand from alz's MH, and if i need to go elsewhere, i just tele to Mea, choco to Bubu and get an OP warp to wherever i need.

Those rings (olduum etc) are useful too, but once a day >.<

I wonder if the increasing nomadic nature of the society in Vana'diel will nessecitate faster and faster means of travel.

Once upon a time, Airships were "good enough". I just find it odd that 24 hour cooldowns on things that were once "awesome" are now an inconvienience.

When will we have concord jets? Or at least a speed booster on the airships... afterburner FTW!

Remora's warp taru has been stolen twice that I know of. As soon as besieged is over, everyone starts forming 'Save the warp taru' parties. He's back within two hours. I have my HP at Whitegate MH and I just use the taru. I have WHM leveled high enough for teleport spells as a backup. Works well for me, and I have yet to level in new areas.

One day, WHMs will have Tele-San D'oria, Tele-Windurst and Tele-Bastok. BLMs with have Warp III (Able to warp someone or themselves to the outpost in the region they are in) and Grand Ballista Champion will have Beammeupscotty Caps which allows them to transport themselves to anywhere they want, including Mordion Gaol.

Taiko, Starr: I don't care what sort of history you two have with each other, but take your disagreement off the public forum and into PMs, please.

---

The main reason to HP in Aht Urhgan is because there really aren't any convenient ways to get there; the ferry takes 20+ minutes, the Olduum Ring sends you several minutes outside of town in Wajaom Woodlands, which means homepointing there and accepting the (much smaller) time penalty to get to Jeuno is really the thing to do.

I wish there were a faster way to get to ToAU zones, but that's what we have for now. Would not surprise me to see something else pop up to divert people back to Jeuno though in a later update.

Hades is always full of drama. The kind you don't want to see on Middie, Icey :p Just be glad that the ones who left Middie on the first migration to Hades were probably the ones that gave you fits and issues...

I protested having to set HP in Al Zhabi by setting my HP in Port Windy. Oh wait, but that was for an entirely different reasons.

WHERE'S MY NEW ZONES FOR NUBBY JOB LEVELS SE! YOU PROMISED MORE SOLOING FRIENDLY CONTENTS! BASTARDS!

I agree that it's pretty rude to ask you to join a party and then turn around and rescind it once you get there. I guess your best course of action is to actually tell the person who is inviting you that your HP is not in Aht Urghan and that it will be a little while, but you are on your way and will be there as fast as you can. You'd be amazed how many people don't read those search comments. As a RDM, I am always getting invites to main heal, even when I specifically write in my search comment that I do not want to main heal. (Me? {White Mage}? {No thanks.} )

I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping your HP in Jeuno, I mean it is your HP after all, and not your party's HP. I think it's really rude to ask someone to party, they go completely out of the way to join, and are replaced with someone "more convenient" before they even get there.

Xp in the new areas is superier to anything I've seen, by ALOT, so you're going to be getting invites to there pretty often.

If you need to get to Jueno, it takes at most like 1 minute. To get from Jueno to the new areas takes what? like a half-hour, maybe a little more if you catch the boat at a bad time.

It's rude to replace you because they shouldn't have invited you in the first place if they were aware of your situation, but I bet you're going to set your HP there pretty soon. It's only logical.

Also, make sure to at least get the Moomal Ja Staging point. You can't walk to that one to xp (well, you can, but I doubt a pt will wait 45 minutes as you wander around lost in Mamook in addition to the 30 minutes they waited for you to come from Jeuno lol)

Hey All,

I try my best to leave my HP in Al Zabi. Unless I'm tele-whoring in Jeuno then I dreed the trip back to set my HP. I'd tele from Al Zabi, but I always end up doing for free cause feel bad charging friends and the people I've been playing with forever .

Also, a little off topic here. Have you all tried Brenner?? I did this for the first time last week, and now have it schedualed as a weekly LS event. If you haven't tried it, you must! It is a nice break from the EXP grind. If you want to try a LS vs. LS match give me "Watty" or "Rule" a /t.

If you keep the party waiting there is no reason for them to hold the spot open for you. If you are very unlucky its 40min wait from jeuno to mhura, waiting for boat then getting the boat and then arriving there.

Thats 40mins of exp that is more or less wasted when they could probably find another blm thats closer or has the HP there so they can just set off and go.

Yes. they should have told you, but its just one party, and if you are soloing quadavs you will get exp anyways.
