I've searched the Forums, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Does anyone know exactly what causes Enspell Resistance and a way to counter it?
Does your enhancing Skill have anything to do with it? Magic Accuracy gear? INT or MND?

Any answers or past tests would be greatly apreciated.

I believe that Enhancing Magic Skill is the main factor in determining the resist rates and over-all damage from en-spells.

I have seen little to no evidence of stats such as MND, INT, or Magic Attack Bonus traits effecting these spells. I even have a hard time seeing a difference with Magic Accuracy gear, or merits (though I have not really tested them much).

Other factors that can effect en-spells are things which effect all spells really. Stuff like current day, weather, and specific mob weaknesses. Enthunder on crabs would be more effective than Enwater, Enwater on Orcs more effective than Enfire, etc.

The weather and the day can effect the damage too but enhancing magic has a big factor in it.

Enhancing Magic skill is the primary factor in Enspell damage and resistance. Day of the week and weather factor into the damage equation, while the target's elemental strengths and weaknesses affect resist rates.
