SWEET
finally i can get my confirmation letter :handsdown :handsdown
I guess this means they're integrating servers, cuz apparently we can use the same account on the different clients \(^-^)/
I can play god with all my friends :p lol
Also means the NA version should be expected soon :p

Actually, I think this only refers to your POL profile, and not your registration address ;)
But... it sure looks like a good start though :)

basically it mean under "handlename's Profile" for adderss information a new option is added to be able to select that you're from North America. (–kƒAƒ?ƒŠƒJ)

I suppose that Square Enix never really cared if you faked your address on your POL account, then. This is great news! Thanks Tongyang!

I still have them in the PC version  Oh wait, that was a third party FFXI phrase plug in ;)

Hopefully this transitions into changing your register address, I'd like to recieve anything they send out to subscribers, like the bb unit disc from a long time back. ^^;;

Other ppl are crying for their kaos and kaomojis ><
I think they realized so many importers are here from at least the server logs by now. *updating* Ooh, it has Canada and the provinces/territories as well.
I believe the addresses can't be changed yet simply because they won't bother to pay for mailing to addresses that far. They also probably don't want to change the address entry fields or cater to the english spelt ones. Yet.

I saw a lot of people whining about the new character input too (in shouts even)
What is this ATOK thing, what changed? I don't know because I'm PC version

How could they take out kaomoji.....
I'll bet it's because of the NA version... it wouldn't be FAIR if japanese people could do cool faces when americans can't.... that's it isn't it?!
Oh well, I guess it's time for me to move to pc version then, where i got kao and kaomoji saved into my IME :p

I don't see why kao and kaomoji were taken out... then again, I don't see why they were in... Some of us just need two ^^s, and maybe a semicolon. ;P
*shrug* I don't see it as a loss. You know, Sheila, you can program the dictionary in POL, I think. I could have sworn I read it in the manual somewhere.

*shrug* Well... I only used kaomoji a couple of times. I never got into the real use of it... I'm more for simple emoticons.

I'm not really into kaomoji either. Overuse results in the message log looking like a 2ch thread!
I'm sure the whole point of switching to ATOK was so you can edit your own input anyway. ATOK is way preferred to Windows IME, so it may be better than the previous POL IME. I found the previous IME to be good at converting informal language well (something Windows cannot do at all), but it was pretty bad at breaking up long strings.

This is PS2 now ATOK.. I mean that kao used to have simple kaos, kaomoji had the more complicated ones. Now they're all in kaomoji. Some of the old kao and kaomoji are gone.
There also is even more lag in selecting kanji than before, for me at least.

I liked it the way it was before. I also feel some lag.

lucky no change to the PC input system
