Jonesing for FFXI

So, my credit card expired, and my bank has been taking it's sweet time sending me a replacement, so when I tried to log in the other day I was denied. :( I'm so missing my FFXI right now, and it's embarassing. I mean, I should be able to go a few days without it, right? Ugh.

In other news, what the heck is up with locking me out of the (free?) POL service when there is a billing issue? I should be able to at least access those features without actually playing FFXI. I don't actually know anyone that I need to message, but if I did have friends waiting for me, I'd hate to be forced to leave them in the lurch like this.

Anyway, no real purpose to this. Just venting. I'm jealous of all you folks who get to play uninterrupted. :worry: I'll be back later this week I hope!

Yeah, my Debt Card expires 06/06 (next month) hope I don't run into this problem.. hope my numbers aren't changed.

I dunno why they lock you out of POL when it's supposed to be free. I had that problem before too, and it's kind of silly to do that.

They just changed the expiration date and the security code on the back for me, the number was exactly the same - but POL still shut me out. It was stupid.

You didn't have to pay some 25 dollar ghey reactivation fee did ya?

No, but I did have to go through the process of reactivating each of my individual content IDs, which was annoying. :angry:

Make sure that if you somehow go a month without playing after getting locked out, you reactivate AFTER the next month's billing cycle, as they charge you for the Content ID as soon as you reactivate.

There is the fast replacement for credit card if you live in city or enough big town with Bank working with VISA. You can buy or order so-called prepaid VISA card - it's treated as usual VISA but are debits and cannot be refunded - it just has limited amount of money on itself - 10$, 20$, 50$, 100$, 400$... They are as fast and easy to get as cellular company's cards. Check rules for using these cards in Inet - just use Google... If I recall it right, If u dont use all money from it u can call for refund of the remains in cash, maybe with help of bank machine.
