Xbox 360 Beta??

As the beta test has finished now, should I delete all of the Playonline and FFxi files from my hard drive or will the new files go over the top when I buy it on the 20th?

Best bet is to wait.

Though you could delete everything if you wanted, your account will be there when you re-install the game.

FINAL FANTASY XI (Xbox 360 Version) Installation

This announcement concerns players who participated in the Xbox
360 Beta test.

Beta versions of PlayOnline Viewer and FINAL FANTASY XI will be automatically uninstalled during the installation of the released version of the Xbox 360 PlayOnline Viewer and FINAL FANTASY XI. The following PlayOnlne beta test data will also be deleted.

Data that will be deleted during the uninstallation of the beta versions:
- Macros
- Sorted Items, spells
- Screenshots, wallpapers
- Mail data (Adress book, in-box mails)
- Friend messages
- Other settings

However, character data will remain unchanged, and will be transferred to an existing World.

Lucky XBox360 testers. I wish we'd had that option back in NA beta. :) Would have saved a lot of time and headaches!
