Has anyone seen an updated Ranged Attack formula since the RNG nerf?

I have yet to see one myself. I've course, I haven't necessarily been checking around for it. My method is basically just running up, using any kind of ranged skill I have, and seeing what happens ^_^

I won't mention the consequences of such actions...

I use the compass... position the dot of the enemy between the 2 rings seems to get best damage and acc for me...

Basically the best you'll find is it's the same old formula just you add in distance to factor in different damage levels.

Something like: (Don't quote though I forgot the exact numbers)
Close: 80% Damage
Sweet Spot: 100% Damage (Regular damage before change, but accuracy is wierd at this spot.)
Semi-Sweet: 95% Damage (Comes really close but is just off, accuracy seems worse at this spot)
To Far: 85% Damage (Accuracy is the worst here you're more lucky if you actually hit)

That is how it is for the ranged weapons that use ammo. For the thrown types it changes to something like:

Close: 90% Damage
Sweet: 100% Damage
Semi: 95% Damage
Far: 80% Damage

Think the Guns were different then X-Bows as well in this, I don't remember to well. All I know is that the Bow and Gun I use their Sweet spot is the same so never bothered to care, the change hardly effected how I played RNG to begin with so I barely saw much of a change. Most of the people that I play with are always saying "I thought I they nerfed RNG, how come you still doing the same damage?"

Their change was obvious to focus on a certain group who played RNG in an unintended method, obviously I wasn't part of that group.

atk/def wise... there's this new level correction variable where
it reduces your ratk/def value by 0.025*(mob level - your level) (only valid for T and above, since level correction is not imposed for EM or lower mob)
so for example, your ratk/mob def ratio is 1.25 and that mob is level 85, while you can only be 75

so level difference is 10, and your ratk/def value got reduced to 1.25-0.25 = 1.00 and then put this number to ranged PDIF function
