I recently came across a few remixes of some FFXI songs and I wanted to import them into FFXI. I am useing a program to convert the .wav files to .dat found in the music hacking guide found here: http://www.finalfantasyxionline.com/content/guides-musichackingguide.php
I'v found a proublem that when I import a file that is about 6min long it only plays the first 3min or so then stops.
If you have any ideas please let me know.

Which song you trying to change? It might be a song that only is programed to last 3 mins or so like the chocobo song.

It's the Rolenberry Fields song. If you want to see the .bgw file that I converted let me know and I'll get it hosted somewhere.

Ok, found a site to host the .zip with the .bgw in it. If you want the .mp3 version let me know. I modified it from the orginal .mp3 file so there would be a smoth looping of the song.

Thanks for the help.

seems your zip messed the file up. Better redo the download.

Ok, think I fixed the Zip file. It now also has the MP3 file that I am converting to .bgw.

Where did you find this remix? I like it. Is there other remixes?

I found the remix here: http://www.djplaeskool.com/musicdir.htm
There are several other remixes that I am trying to get in-game, but I was hopeing that finding the proublem with just this one will solve the proublems I have with some of the other ones.

Make sure in XiMC you have the number in the box ( default is 100 ) the number of the music you're going to be changing. For instance, if you were going to make something your mog house music, you would type in 126, then click the convert button.

I did not think it mattered. I just rename the file to the correct name then coppy it into my FFXI folder where POLUtils says the file I want to change is found.

ya that was the problem when I used it. Re did the file using the converter and it worked again.
