I was brousing around for some cool .dats and came upon a post that said how to change .dats for the ps2. I cant find the post, but if any one could comment on how its done i would be apreciative.

I 'm pretty sure you need to do it in Linux

To the best of my knowledge, you can't. For anyone else out there that knows this to be possible, please feel free to prove me wrong.

I have a friend who knows how to make a PS2 accept a hard drive of any size and play ISOs of PS2 games copied to that hard drive. It's all far beyond my level of knowledge, but if that's possible then I wouldn't be at all surprised if dat mods were doable also.

There are some posts in this thread explaining how to use altered .dats for the PS2 version~

Yeah, it's possible to get a PC to read a PS2 partitioned HDD. Just like getting Windows to see a partition made for Linux though you need an emulator to translate for Windows to understand that partition.

The PS2 HDD is identical to a regular PC HDD the only difference is it's partition. That is why someone can get a regular HDD and with the program called HDLoader which can partition any HDD into the PS2 partition type. If I recall the HDLoader even adds onto the PS2 partition type to give you a file manager so you can actually browse around into those files that the PS2 orginal partition doesn't normaly allow.
