Howdy FFXI Online Rdms! I just got back on after taking a year off from ffxi, no WoW or anything...

Anyway, my rdm is 55, and I am selling my astrals to jump start my char and get exping again to catch up to my friends.

So heres what I have
AF Feet
AF Gloves
AF Pants (ready for 56)
Custom Slacks
Gold Haripin
Holy Phial
Royal Knights Belt
Red Cape +1
W.W. Anelace
Light Staff
Dark Staff
Thunder Staff
Ice Staff
Rose Wand +1
Hard Shield
Tonite were going to try for a hornetneedle, so dagger is covered.

I had sold my int and mnd rings before i stopped a year ago to buy some fun stuff.

anyway heres what im planning on buying...

2x Zircon Ring
2x +3mnd Ring
2x Ether Ring
2x Morion Earring (until i can get my old buddies to help with a moldy)
Fire Staff
Water Staff
Wind Staff
Earth Staff

at current garuda prices that leaves me around 1 mil left.

Am I missing anything major, Ive been scanning th AH for all the cool new stuff but theres just so much.

Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks a bunch.

selling astrals you mean astral rings? aren't ether rings more expensive?

astrals sold for 1.5mil each, ether rings were only 400k...

ok so heres what i did..

got the other four staffs,
2x Zircon Ring +3int
2x Aquamarine Ring +3mnd
2x Electrum Rings, saw that ether was rare, so i got two of these
2x Morion Earring

is there really anything else i need to start exping?

Second question, now that i have alll 8 staffs, do i need a wand, or will the hidden bonuses from the staffs be better than the +mnd/int from the wand?

and for those of you who are interested, i did get my hornetneedle!!

ah icic. for levelling pt I usually only carry mnd gear so you're definitely in a better shape than me.

The elemental staffs are awesome. There's no need for wand anymore.

Next thing I can think off my head are Enfeebling Torque and Errant gears. You don't need them yet tho.

hmm you should try at getting a Moldavite Earring its Magic Attack Bonus +5 instead of having one morion. That earring you need to camp a NM inside of Onzozo he spawns every like 2 hours isn't terribly hard just have someone else to help. You can also substitute a cunning earring for that one morion instead also its just like 4 less mp. For staves if you have the gil go for the hq version mainly of wind, earth and ice first then anything after that should be good. I found i used less mnd gear as i leveled cause i subbed whm mostly for the boost in mind stat. That and rdm body is 15 enfeebling :P~. Theres penitents rope at 60 which u can bcnm for or buy. But i think your pretty much updated. i hope this info helps

You can also switch between Devotee's Mitts lv27? (MND+5 MP+8) and Mage's Mitts lv50(INT+1). The AF gloves are kinda lame, except for the small MP bonus.
