Elemental Cluster farming with Summoner

I’ve never farmed elementals in Ru’Aun Gardens, and I was wondering if any Summoner has either. I’ve heard that this would be an easy place to farm for Black Mages, but I did not know of the reason (Elemental Seal + Sleep? Or is it something else like Elemental Seal + Silence?). Can anyone elaborate?

If you’ve played Black Mage, how do you go about and farm here? Where is a safe place to go to fight them at? (near or on the Blue Teleporters?)

Where else would you guys/gals go to farm Elemental Clusters? I'm mainly looking for Fire, my second need is Lightning.

The way BLM's do it is basically Sleep II, nuke, Sleep, Aspir, Nuke, Sleep II, Nuke etc and the occasionaly Stun if you need it. Someone uploaded a video of a BLM doing it on these forums so have a look and see if you can find it. It might not be possible as SMN since the technique relies heavily on being able to land Sleep.

You can do it with any Elemental other than Dark (for obvious reasons) and Light Elementals are tricky too since they don't use anything that has a really long casting time. You do it on the very top level of Ru'Aun, at the back in the place where people usually skill up on Elementals.

I can't really think of an effective way to do it as SMN. There's always "safe" places to cast magic/summon near the zonelines in sky, usually past a bridge, so it seems like a summoner would have to run up with an avatar out, order it to attack, use a blood pact, then run to a safe spot and wait for the avatar to die. After summoning a new avatar, then they'd have to run all the way to the next safe spot...

It seems a bit tedious, and you'd slowly rack up hate to the point where you'd be kiting around an elemental all over sky if you use blood pacts, but I suppose it's possible. BLM AF3 is soloable by SMN, and it's an elemental.

You could also try to rely on avatar's with sleep ability...but I don't know if I'd risk it. I'm almost certain the elemental would wake up before you could even do another blood pact.

For lightning you might try delkfutt tower...I've gotten a good number of elementals there. Same goes with behemoth's dominion. I got nothing for fire though.
