My Prediction is between August-Nov...and the PC will come out probably a mth before the ps2 one (remember just a prediction)

I called up EB today and they said they are expecting FFXI for Ps2 in Mid November... But they didn't know anything about the PC versions release :(

Guys... it does not take that long to Translate a Game, they would loose so much money by waiting until December..

I predict it will be released by this summer..

I would say about Mid June, due to the fact that Star Wars Galaxies is releasing in June also, so they might release them both around the same time... It shouldn't take too long, maybe another 2 months.

I would hope so, but I wouldnt count on it. They have dragged thier feet on it this long, I think they will get it out shortly before christmas to get those extra sales of a new game with the FF title behind it.

Seeing as the NA public beta hasnt started, i think June looks a little too optomistic, sure ti would be GREAT, but i dont see it that soon. Really im thinking more of a Fall release date then December, I just say december not to get my hopes up.

first, open beta has started, and second, the game IS translated, the only thing they are waiting for is the HDD and some beta testing. i think Nov or Dec, since sony will want to hoard the MMORPG market (EQOA) untill they have to release the HDD

he made it up. the open beta is starting soon though (www.squaresoft.com see for urself). I'm predicting June-August.

hah yeah, I was asking because well...it wasnt true

well there will be no "open" beta, only MMORPG that i know of do that are RO and that hardly counts. They can do NEAR open beta, but i dont expect FFXI to do that. It will be public, but i think they will have applications and of course not everyone will be picked. If they are doing a beta for the PS2, they will have to send everyone a HDD unit, and hmmm....i dont know, most people i dont think would send a 100-200 dollar piece of equipment back :p not to mention one isnt even made yet. If its for the PC, they will probably send out some beta version CDs to people, and maybe a downloadable version (if they can do that with a limited version of the game so the file wouldnt be so massive)
