noob dumbass question - config

Hi to everyone, i am new to pc gaiming in gereral so if anyone can help with this silly question i would be most grateful - i have installed FF xi and it plays fine (so far) but i can not find/access the config section. can any one help? or point me in the right direction. thanks

from your desktop, click on start then programs > playonline > final fantasy xi > final fantasy config

it's not in-game. you fix the settings from your desktop.

I'm all about the n00bne55, but you can't find the "Config" menu when you're playing your character?! Seriously, that's a brand new level of n00bness to me and you MIGHT wanna reconsider what MMORPG you play, IF any.

If, after much soul searching and EKG Testing, you still feel compelled to play FFXI:
When you log into your character, press the "-" key on the numberpad or access the main menu if you're on PS2. Then press either "left" or "right" and about 5 spaces from the bottom, you should see a "Config" option. THIS is the place where you Configure settings that you are able to.

If, by chance, you mean the initial FFXI settings before you even start playing, check your:
Start Menu > Playonline > Final Fantasy XI > Final Fantasy XI Config
There you can change your initial game settings to help you out in creating/maximizing a character.

wow you have acually hit the nail on the head, not only is this my first go at any mmorpg game, but is in fact my first PC game as well. So thank you for your advice friend and maybe i will see you in there ;)

yeah, I can be an ass at times. but this isn't a point and click adventure game. everyone needs help starting out, I'm not denying that. but, neither was SE when they gave you a manual with the game to describe stuff like that.

i'm not trying to shoot down anyone and make them cry...but seriously, if the first place you come to is here and ask something that can easily be found yourself... i dont know... >.>
