High CHR <newb question ^^>

having high CHR , means, your killer effects happen more often (intimidation) you get resisted on charm less, and the length of your charm?

Elvaan have the highest CHR, so in oh.. lets say BCNM 20, if i had all, and i mean ALL the +CHR gear i could wear by lvl 20, what would be the chances the furries would resist my charm..? i heard bats are resistant to charm.

i am raising BST to lvl 20 only for BCNM 20 , but hey, maybe ill end up liking it :D

Elvaan, Tarutaru, and Hume have the same CHR. I managed it fine as a Mithra, but I only tried it once.

If you're lvling bst only to do bcnm 20 stop now and never look back. BCNM 20 is probably the most annoying bcnm I have ever done as bst. Furies will always resist your charms to a certain degree. The money you make from it is shit as well. It's either you get an astral or you don't and astrals aren't very common drops. If you want to lvl bst for bcnm's take it higher than 20, there are much better bcnm's for bst.

well the average shown on site(s) is 1/5 for astral rings, and an astral ring is worth 2,000,000+ on my server and how long can each BCNM take, only 15 minutes right?

Astral rings are like 8/36 of a drop rate right? i mean are you ready to waste 20 seals on that? i just do balgais dias with a melee job or smn you cant charm leeches with bst

To answer your question, CHR doesn't affect the duration of charm.

However, you'd probably do better to level up some less frustrating job if you want to do BCNMs... BST is pretty horrid for a long while, in my experience. If you have the patience to level BST up high enough, you might browse Allakhazam's BST forums. They've got a nice BCNM guide, I think, and several topics about high-level BST-friendly BCNMs.

yes, only +charm affects charm duration.
i think at that lvl, you can have a max of +18 chr /no food maybe a little more with.

if you think of it, even if you can safely say 1/5 drops astrals, you are spending 100 beastmen seals for 1 astral? hardly worth it imo. theres lot of better bcnm to do that will net you more than an astral ring.

I think someone did research and testing about CHR and charm+. The conclusion was, if I remember right, charm+ effects only charm lenght but effects quite greatly. CHR effects charm resist rate and very mildly charm duration. But if I remember right it as like 1~2 secs so it's very small effect.

I might be wrong but for fact I can say CHR effects how much your Charm will get resisted and charm+ effects lenght of Charm.

If you want to level BST for BCNMs, take it a lot higher. If you want to do BCNM20 easy, level SMN. There are easier and more profitable BCNMs at higher levels for BST than the furies. And I doubt you will like leveling BST to 20. It was kind of a grind to 25 for me at least. It gets a lot better after that though.

BCNM wise, level SMN, BLM or something. Level BST if you like BST.
