Jade dragoon Request

okay ....this is for someone who requested a remade dragoon type armor from me... (name Anonymous for courtesy) Basically I just needed a place to post the pic for him, but as always am looking for feedback.

I have remade this body piece a few times with different parts and... most did not look clean looking, so I scrapped them. I tried with dragon mail, however even when I made each individual scal and outlined them each with the original black coloring.. the colors ran together so... I scrapped it. Then I tried a fw others and they had hidden alpha pieces that ..in the end I managed to take them off....Just didnt look right either...so,

I have decided maybe to stick with the AF2 piece but add a LOT of very tiny details that while 90% will not see....all of those details will make it look better overall.

I have ONLY DONE 90% of the body so far so please dont post saying the green doesnt match, the gold isnt finished, etc.. I am working on it lol. This is taking a lot longer than I thought mainly because I have scrapped about 4 body pieces after having them at 90% and... this so far is one of the few that looks clean, and looks like it COULD be in the game IMO.

Oh, and also... the drg helm looks too plain to me so.... that will be remodeled and redone as well..it just doesnt fit the colors and designs IMO.

Top is mostly done.... side flaps on bottom, Im starting now, as well as the elbowpads. ..the rest I will be touching up as well.

I like the gold trim and everything, though I think the green could just be a tad less saturated/darker for a richer look

I thought about that but ....Im trying to match someones SIg so ...it has to be fairly close to that color. Plus from what I can remember ...the actual color jade... is fairly bright no?

Okay he liked a darker more slightly blue green as well so ...heres the new colored version.

Wow. Those second pictures look great. Maybe add some dark-dark-dark colored veins in the green for added effect.

Jade is a really dark green. Emerald is usually bright. ^^

Hmm...... I dunno .... this project is in limbo right now... May just scrap the whole thing since I've recently found that there may be one of these outfits floating around already ... Ill give it a little bit before I toss it, just in case

Don't scrap something you already started. Go for the gold! (Or the green in this case..)

Some new pics of my Soon to be finished Jade Dragoon.

First of all I'd like to say ..on the Helm .. the model is NOT MINE.
I got it off of allakazham forums and there was no author named that I know of, however i DID do all the reskinning and coloring of it. it was just solid ....teal i think? It was a wierd sea green looking color... anyways, I made the teeth on the helm white (Yes this helm has teeth which is why I Used it. It also has a LOT of small things that make it look more like a Dragons head (the original author did that also).

The rest of the outfit will be all my work. (well except the fact that its an actual reskin of DRG AF armor lol).

Ive added a lot of small details in the body piece, I have drawn a few things and scanned them into my PC and added those designs to the body as well.

For the gloves I took the look of the I.M gloves, recolored them, and added another design that I drew as well.

As for the rest ....thats still to come.

It would be finished already but... Ive added so many things ive had to physically draw on paper then add in... that it just needs a bit more time lol.
and I know ....90% wont notice them but.... in MY EYES... I will notice the blah spots that needed attention (the tiny details Ive added were mostly shadows on the gold pieces (Yes i shaded each piece of gold -_-), and also added more shades of color than the original DRG helm had. As always feedback welcome.

P.S. As for the helm designs.. the pics SUCK at showing them ...it looks better in action than thwe top view shows ....honest XD

lol well..... i CAN have this done tomorrow but... If i release it tomorrow it may just be a V.1 What I'd LIKE to do with the finished one is make a LOT more detailed parts for it including shading small parts of everything, and adding a bit more gold pieces to it... but that will take about a week so ..a V.1 will be released hopefully tomorrow, but the helm, gloves AND body are finished to what I would like (or at least that I can tell ATM).
its the boots and pants that will be realeased as just a recolor tomorrow, and later be completely redone as Ive done the rest.

Okay heres an In Game Shot of my jade Dragoon...I took it of me resting because I think its funny that ...if you really look at the top of the helm ..it kinda looks like a dragon face

to me it looks like a dragons face laughing because the bottom is so far from the top. I dunno maybe Im just tired and am seeing things ...anyways I got a laugh out of it since I had no intention whatso ever of doing that.

Also Im thinking of changing the color of the helm very slightly as, in game ..it looks a TINY bit dark ...dunno yet tho.

Because it was a special request.....Ive figured out how the fangs worked, and have converted the model to taru ...I am still trying to figure out where the fangs are on the helm to recolor it though so ...the fangs arent colored all the way quite yet >.> Just posting for the person who requested a taru version ..it IS being worked on :)

P.S. Fangs have not been set where I want them yet ..I am waiting to figure out where they are in the BMP so I can recolor the whole tooth first before I adjust the front bottoms, I know they look slightly off, that will be fixed tomorrow probably.

Still working on it >< I got carried away with the designs lol... I think I will use something else instead of the drg boots .. the designs I am making for it just dont fit with these boots ..and frankly.. look like crap. For now, I will just recolor the drg Af boots and pants and release in about 45 minutes for Hume male and taru. After version 1 is released... I will be taking my time on version 2 ...and most likely there will be a version 3 lol

Okay heres the BETA VERSION 1 Jade Dragoon... yes its got a LOOOONG way to go IMO. Any issues with anything, let me know So I can add things to the version 2.

Oh, and yes I know the taru pants are not green... they ARE..its just that the Boots cover the green piece... this will be changed in version 2, so that it shows up on the taru version (I probably wont even use the drg pants or boots in version 2 anyways lol.
Also, I know not the WHOLE part of the bottom of the teeth are white.. they are also green.. I will be fixing that as well.

Hume Male Version 2 is now up for download.
Also added a pic of the new version, but I left the old one up as well for a comparison. (Now that I have added the pieces I want, I will more than likely add a few touches to it that I have not done yet such as custom designs as I have done on the body piece and a few other small spots. Most likely they will be kept in my collection so as not to flood the thread with constant updates and making people download over and over again, unless it is requested to release them.

Okay, because I did not feel right about using someone elses helm model without a name..... I searched allakaz's forums untill I found the forum page (Took A while because Last time I read the thread was like... at LEAST a month ago) ..anyways the Model of the helm was made by Dauntedx (thats his name on allakaz anyways).

Im not sure if its in the .dat collection or not but... heres his version of the whole armor set

Okay here is the mithra version.. I WAS planning on making the new version of the legs and boots today but ...the mithra one took that spot...it was a request so ..here it is.
I used the same persons model that did the hume male head model...however, I had to tweak a few things because this one only had the top teeth on it (taru one only had the top two teeth as well), and again was colored the same as the hume one, and....unlike the taru version I DID find out how to whiten all of the teeth and make them look a LOT better than both of the other models ...I would have just added teeth to the original helm but ..as you can see, the original maker of the helm did an awesome job making it look more like a dragon head and less like a blech helm.
If theres no requests tomorrow ....Ill start on the improved version 2 legs and boots tomorrow lol

I already found which boots and pants I will use and ... it looks very promising ^^

P.S. As I have said before If anyone would be kind enough to convert my creations to other races for me, PLEASE dear god help meh out XD

If I didnt convert my creations/monstrosities to other races myself... I would have had a LOT more done.

Oh, and on a side note.... I am planning on making a wyvern to match the Jade dragoon and I am THINKING...about making the wyvern look like he is wearing armor... doubt it will work out for numerous reasons including the fact that it will most likely look painted on since it will be smooth etc....but... Ill try it maybe just to see if its even worth making.
thats after making the wyvern match the Jade Dragoon though because I believe theres a 95% chance the armor on a wyvern ...will look like crap.

updated hume male to V2, if you got V1 for hume male. try V2 its a lot better looking IMO
