Try different versions of the drivers. The newest are not always the ones that work the best with ffxi.

people usually using the default one with the graphic card =.= which is the worse.
so go update your driver for your graphic card
Double Post Edited:
and u dont have to use SE driver. u can use the driver from your graphic card web site

I get what you area asking, did you try madding any .DAT files, because if you dont do it right that can happen. restore your .DATs and you will be fine, or if this is something that just randomly started happeneing reinstall FF because you have corupt files.

is your video card working ok on other games? any problems at other times? was it working good then all of a sudden it didnt work? if it was working good what did you install or change? also try changing back ground resolution in ffxi configuration i had a problem with that once. but that was on some older drivers as well. list system specs if you keep having problems.

do what was suggested reinstall ffxi. if same problem might want to check and make sure fan on video card is spinning fast enough to keep it cool. looks like your video card is running hot to me. try taking cover off case and using a house fan blow cool air into pc.

No. I had like this since i installed Ffxi
Minimee. the graphic runs okay on etc WoW and Fable and some other games.
and Honestly i dont know if i have a fan.. but i think i must have... it got broken so a company fixed it .. + you sure its overheat ? because its Only my characters and Some trees. not ANY enviroment.

i gues i try to re install
reason i havent done this before
is because when installin... something wrent wrong so i had to uninstall ffxi..
after uninstalling.. important dll. files were damaged and i had to re install my computer
i hope that doesnt happends again!
