question about transfering NPC outfits

I'm curious about how to do this/how complicated this is. I've dabbed a bit in dat modding, but haven't used mesquoia(sp) before, just photoshop. In particular, I'm interested in the minister outfits from Windy and Star Sybil's as well. I'm thinking about making a video of sorts, but want to see if this is possible first.

Here's one of the custom dats I've been working on for the project. This is the closest I've come to completely redoing one/making it my own, so it's not super awesome. I was going for this look:

I'm pretty pleased with it, though it can still be tweaked. I'm having the most problems with getting detail to show up. >< Any suggestions?

I like them and they are VERY cute. but I'd love to see you get rid of the rope belts somehow and make them more dress-like, like they are in the concept art. If that's even possible.

The minister outfits are more dress like, however that's the problem I'm having as I can't really figure out how to transfer the NPC costumes to players. But thank you ^^

the weasel is probably the pet rarabs kept in windy waters. looks just like them.. except shaved... <_<

its a rarab!!!! the long nose, short front legs, and even fur pattern are all the same!!! just think about it. how many concept arts look just like the actual game? not many.
