snipers are 3 mil on remora. i remember i bought them for 400k each and sold them back at 1mil each thinking i made a killing ; ;
ochidos kote is 5+ mil last time i checked.

the one that gets me the most is survival belt. on my old server, i got one for like 8k. did a bunch of bcnm and got a few of those belts, sold them for next to nothing. they are over 1 mil on remora.... O.o

yea, so heres a question for all your thinkers. should se step in and take care of the inflation? i remember they said in an interview, i think it was the one with sage sundi or the texas event one, that they didnt want to step in and curb inflation. i mean for a lot of veteran players, its not a big deal to make money but for a lot of those new players and intermediate players, it must be pretty difficult i would imagine.

irl, we have the fed to help adjust the economy by raising or lowering interest rates which in turn affect a whole lot of things. consumer confidence, stocks, company growth etc. do you think ffxi should have such a thing?

when i first started, i couldnt have imagined things getting this high. leaping boots were 125k, emp hairpin was 200k, astrals were 100k, stack of silk was 10k, haub was 1000k, verm. cloak was 4000k. look at them now. so should se do something?

Well usually no Omni.. but if high leveled players jack everything up, what's there left for the beginners? For Remora as example, with a price rising so high in such short time.. they have to do something. :(

And I thought that my Kampfh armor was high. It's like 200k a piece. I gave up on it for the Eisen set.

Usually higher levels have the shinyiest things :P. But yea, basically everyone who owns any of those items, or can get(quest) them easily.

i have to agree with gizzle beard. its everyone. i had a friend lately say that they cant play a certain job b/c they didnt have this item. its like... seriously, its not that necessary, its nice to have but no where near necessary.

se needs to adjust the quests more also. quests taht give out 200gil, 600gil or some lame item just doesnt cut it anymore.

the other day, shihei has risen to 20k a stack. mind you this is totally retarded to me since my whole existance is based on shihei.

in the past month, haub prices have risen 3 fold.
haub prices went from the steady 1.4million to roughly 4million after cop came out. recently, haub is now 12million. its probably more since i checked it a few days ago and since then im sure someone else has jacked up the prices some more.

kote is 6million.

like i said, lot of this stuff isnt necessary, you can use lots of other equips that do just fine. i just hope new comers are as diligent about making gil as some of us are. good luck!

well im on ifrit and a stack of shi sells between 8-10k with a stack of toolbags no more than 100k i will check on hauby and kote but the sh is still around 7mil

you are lucky then. our sh is over 12million thats for sure since it always seems to be ahead of haub.

also another item that has risen dramatically. im not sure why this particular item but puissance rings, the hq version of the lv. 36 str ring, have jumped 2 fold to 200+k, while all other rings are hovering around 90-100k. i remmeber them being 90-100k for quite some time also.

Supposedly theres a new gil-dupe out there, im guessing has to do with NPCs, which is flooding hundreds of millions of gil a day into the economy thanks to gilsellers whoring it out. This is one reason why gil selling sites were able to drop the gil down to 5 bucks a mil for xmas.

other day despite 60 HQ crab shells on AH in jeuno i got them no less than 35k a pop. those shells were averaging 40k a pop in jeuno. i lost about 6M from 87 to 90 bonecraft. now i spend just 10k per gavial/titanicus fish, and desynth leather vest to get materials that will get me to 100 bone

Naw. Ramuh owns you in terms of rip offs. Think a Hauby is 20 mil on this server. Astral Rings rose up to 2.9mil now? Holy crap. Serket Ring was 9 mil from my last sighting of it. Isquira (sp) Wiskit is a whopping 100 mil, one of the Sha'ir items are also 100 mil. Yeah, crafters and Gilsellers will soon form the burgeoise class of FFXI if this keeps up.

I honestly can't believe prices have gotten this bad since I last set eyes on a FFXI Auction House.:eek: Seriously, I remember when Leaping Boots were like 20k, if even that. And SH was only at about 900k. I can't believe the economy has been going downhill so rapidly. This is honestly ridiculous, even in WoW the price hikes weren't this bad.

To note a significant change:
Last week Morion Tathlum was at 250k, now its about 100k-150k, 100k drop XD. Not that I'm a mage anyway, just a nice thing to point out. SH is now 7mil, w000tZ!
