Tech Question About Moving Files

Im getting the BSOD and an error message on Machine Check Error.I have searched some forums and found out my harddrive is probally going bad.

I have purchased a new one and will be here thurs..

My question is can i just move the whole POL folder to my new harddrive or do i have to re install and re update on my new HD??

you would have to at the very least, reinstall so that windows has all the game information in the registry. after that, you could copy over the old POL files (providing those files were not corrupted by your bad hard drive) and save yourself the updates.

Ok if I reinstall and then update through the POL dL all i would have to do is put in my POL login and password and all my characters will be there correct?

yes. only thing missing would be your macros and map markers (cause that's on the old harddrive).

i suggest u better reinstall and repatch and not copy the files from old drives to new one.
i got to know it the hard way by trying to copy n save in my computer from my old one and end up not working and need to uninstall and install and patch again and waste more time.
