*phew* I was wondering if it was just me that was having problems looking at the stats, since the AF2+1 stats have been popping up all over the place, and not much of anything else...

I did manage to find info on 1 of the 2 new models added.

No, it's not event items. Has everyone forgotten about SE's push for additional sweets to be added to the growing food list? I'm curious about the chocolates and what effect it will give a player. Sounds interesting.

Something I have learned is that Items (Part 1) are just items that sit in your inventory and collect dust, while Items (Part 2) are items that are useable by clicking on them and pressing use (crystals, food, etc)

So the chocolate in Part 1 is most likely for the Starlight Celebration while the Love Chocolate and Truelove Chocolate in Part 2 would be consumable food.

omfg at Bahamut Zaghnal, but the damage sucks. It's not like you can dual wield this either ... www ... hmm ... I can see where this would be awesome for Spiral Hell though, but again, not sure how the damage modifier will affect the overall output of a WS ...

Search for armor level 70, and at the bottom of the list should be new JSE equipment.

It will still work, except for item translation. I'll try to rush out a 0.6.3 release for these item changes (0.7.0 isn't quite ready for prime time yet).

the new bahamut staff -3 avatar perpetuation - is that a real item?

Yup - some weapons:

Dragon Staff (Level 40, SMN only, Rare/Ex/NoSale)
DMG:18 Delay:366 MP+20
Avatar perpetuation cost -1

Bahamut Staff (Level 75, SMN only, Rare/Ex/NoSale)

It could be useful in dynamis if the enchance effect is better than a dark staff. But besides that it would just be trash.

locus
12-13-2005, 08:48 AM
Yes. Except for the ring, all the Diabolos items are intended to be useful in Dynamis. It's only appropriate, seeing as he IS the lord of Dynamis after all.

I think the pole is interesting enough seeing as it's a weapon for all jobs and Bards find it hard to get a staff with better damage on it. It'd be rather short-sighted to pass judgment on it before testing it. Your satire was wholly unneccessary.

/agrees with above statement hehe

Macht
12-13-2005, 09:56 AM
As far as choosing it for Dark Weather too indicates they are not just doing Dynamis only. Otherwise they just state "Dynamis: ......"

Thing I've constantly been telling people is SE creates the game with their idea of the elements and everythings alignment to them. Diabolos being a dark element as well as Dynamis being a dark element basically wouldn't be a surprise if they made an item were darksday, weather, or night time would effect an item.

Seems their choice for using Dark Weather was justified.

IamNate
12-13-2005, 10:17 AM
Well, that plus Dynamis IS Diabolos' realm yanno, so why wouldnt they make an item that compliments Diabolos own home realm? Makes sense, dont'cha think?

I would like to know how to get the dragon's staff then it would help me get free carbuncle at lvl 40/50.

Balfree
12-13-2005, 10:36 AM
Sure but they could be a little less bitchy... what about the countless items that rot on the auction house never to be used by anyone with common sense?

Blood Red Poet
12-13-2005, 11:46 AM
Ima get one :P. Pole is good for Temenos and Dynamis. Sometimes Aspir is your only way to gain MP in Dynamis. However, DarkDAY items kind of dissapoint... however, I wouldn't care enough since they have their uses.

Posting the weapons & armor here - doesn't seem worth a separate thread and post size limit prevents me from editing this thread's original post.

Changed Items:

Log message for several subligar items was changed (subligars -> subligaria).
A few icons were changed, as mentioned in the patch notes; the mostly look better now, but it's not a huge difference.
A spelling error was fixed in Regen Cuirass' description (Coverts->Converts).
The log message for Bastokan/Republic Mittens was corrected (used to say "muffler(s)" instead of "mitten(s)".
Descriptions for AF2 items were reorganized (usually taking more lines than before, separating stat boosts and skill boosts)
Evoker's Spats now specify that the Enmity -2 applies to the avatar and not the summoner

Maybe we'll get them with the starlight festival. . . maybe not, but I still want one, being a whm, it'd be good to use that on someone so if I do mess up & two die including me. . . we can get right back.
