View Full Version : anybody here notice the lack of low lvl playing in dunes lately?

on monday night i was at dunes, barely any low lvl's were there i was a lvl10RDM/BLM and found no party...

anybody concerned that this is going to happen more often? no more groups in those lvl's?

on Titan, low level parties are still there but not as frequent as I would like. finding parties below 20 can be hard these days

yeah... that definately bums me out... *sigh* i guess i just have to wait and wait.
i hope more people start playing when the new expansion comes out.

Try leveling with your npc friend, its slower but you have to make due sometimes.

Yeah. In peak times I get lots of invites when I'm WAR still, but most times it's not possible to build a party just for lack of players rather than for lack of workable roles.

I've taken to soloing more often. Lets me skill GSword w/out too many people telling me I should be using GAxe instead. :P

Hey I know what you mean. I'm on your server and I'm a level 18 WHM and it is nearly impossible to find a party. It seems like we're severly lacking tanks to party with also. It's been like this almost the whole time I've been in the dunes this time around. Last night I did a search and there was less then 2000 people on! Hopefully things will pick up soon.

Btw, i soloed BST without using Pets or without needing pets to 17, it took me a week, i play no more than 3 hours per week day and i got r done, and dont forget that BST has sucky weapons, sucky WSs, no special abilities, and is probably the weakest melee-type job, and i still did it, so the myth that you need to join pts at 10 is proven wrong

nobody was ever talking about that myth... yeah your a BST but i'm a WHM...

Im curious, what times do you usually play? I've been playing around 6-9 p.m. (est.) lately and there hasn't been many people on. Usually I play from 9 p.m. - 12 a.m. (est.) and I notice there are usually more people on then. So I wonder if it's the time of day or if it's like this all day.

i play all day what happened was that i was playing all day
i didn't hit 10WHM till around 12:00 got to dunes, empty as hell

there is no wars at all low lvl on my server lakashmi (think thats correct spelling) anyways i got in invite w/o a sub on my new char. of corse the pt blowed but it was crazy cause when 2 people left there was nobody else. o btw NEVER lvl war first... if you want war lvled take mnk to 18 first cause its insane lvling war w/o a sub

Just wanted to say that I started partying in the Dunes at 10:15 est. last night and I found a great party instantly. My point being that lately it seems that the earlier times suck but later in the evening there is more people. At least on this server.

Indeed i just run around in the Highlands for a bit and then sure enough a few invites pop my way!!! Perhaps the later hours of the day is the best time for those who need a party!! I am usually on from 11 pm - 2 am and that place is packed.

Well, I have seen several pt's in the dunes.
All with PL's that is.

Rather than waste my time with these pt's, my gf and I decided to duo to 20 instead, to get around the lack of decent pt's in the dunes.

Week 2 of duoing and all 6 starter jobs are now at lvl 20 with the great majority of their skills magic and combat capped for 20.

Mage (Enfeeb/Healer) + DD works best.

Just finished off my Blm/Whm with her Thf/War.

Find a way around it. Albeit not as fast as an xp pt, least your not standing around doing nothing.

I hate 10-20 parties anyway, I'm learning to cope though. Without parties. The ph33r of the dunes stopped my NIN, BLU, BLM, WHM, PLD, DRG, and SAM from leveling. Not really fear so much as the thought of gearing and fooding up to go out there and do nothing at all.

So now I like to solo, though I'm not sure how to do that as a 10 Galka WHM or BLM.
