Does the Chara stay?

I am not a player yet and it will last some months still, but I like to know what happens for example, if I don't pay for a month for example or if I quit playing. Let's say I want to make a break or something and I like to continue the Chara in 2 months. Will the character be deleted immediately?

When I stopped Anarchy Online, the Chara stayed at the server for 3 months. If I reactivated the account, I could have continued the character. After 3 months without reactivating, the data gets deleted.

well once on everquest I left my characters for over a year and I didnt pay but I came back for while and they were still there with all there stuff and levels
