Crashing

FFXI keeps crashing every 15 minutes.. and I have no clue how to fix it. any help? it just turns off or crashes my computer!

cause if it does i have the same problem

I have FFXI crash, but its more like once every week or so. Usually have to restart my computer after it, too.

well if it is a computer i guess i can think of a few things you can do

check and make sure all of your fans are running in your pc over heating can cause your pc to auto turn off. also make sure your fans don't have dust caked on them. i had to clean my heat sink recently and reapply some artic silver 5 on it because my computer started heating up to about 65C when it should run 35-43C.

right click your task bar and click task manager and end task on un needed processes. my computer runs about 25 to 29 processes and i get it to like 20 when i turn all my norton stuff off. this should help performance too probably.

if that doesn't work you can try reformating or if you are just getting disconnected from the server and you pc isn't crashing try rebooting your network or calling your isp

first of all does it crash in other games? or just ffxi? to fix a problem we have to find it. ive had power supplies go bad that cause problems like this. ive had conflicts between onboard sound and other hardware cause these problems. has it always done this or is it something recent?. happen in front of ah in lower jueno more than other areas. any artifacting before hand? maybe try and take cover off of pc and see if it helps. been surfing the web and possibly picked up a virus? try and scan disc and defrag lately? hard drive over half full?other programs running in background like anti-virus scans? system specs operating system. i have 2 pc's to repair for friends this weekend. guess ill have plenty of time in between partys for my 61 drk its been 6 mos since ive had an invite.

For me it only happens in FFXI, and there is no exact spot or anything to where it happens, seems pretty random.

yea for me it happens in all games that i play online
my friend had a regular router and was fine the he switched to a netgear wireless router(like me) and started having those connection problems. so he switched back to a regular one and isnt having the problems anymore.
for me i get something that says error code-ffxi4001 no response from server. connection have been canceled or something like that.
it happens every like 15-20 mins
the longest i have ever been on at one time was 35 mins
i think it maybe that i m using a wireless router
if you have a wireless router and the connection is fine plz help me
or anyone help me i really will need full connection when i start partying all the time.
