uhh.... if you want your character back... umm.... YES! It will be a problem.
Just go out and buy a new copy of FFXI and start all over.

You'll need new CD-Keys to start a New POL account because someone is using the account that uses the keys from your version. So you're going to have to throw down $30 and buy the game again.

I dont think we are ^_^
God, $30...so cheap...I would have beat someone down to pay $30 for both my NA and JP clients. <_< Ah, hell, I would have beat someone down for the fun of it too >.>
But yes, selling accounts is baaaad. :[

At the very least, this should tell you...
Don't sell your account for less than $30. :P
Also, it's probably not a good idea to give someone access to an account that contains your credit card number anyway... I guess if it's on a checking account you could close the account... In theory you can stop payment on things, but in practice a lot of banks make this difficult. My family was signed up to a less than ethical dialup ISP for a while, which kept changing numbers and moving, and putting obstacles in the way of credit-billed customers cancelling. The bank was never satisfied that we'd done enough to address the problem with the ISP and refused to stop payment. We eventually tracked the company down again and got them to cancel, but we paid for several months of service we didn't get.
This was before all the public uproar about identity theft so things might be better now, but I personally wouldn't count on it.

Well since you broke the user agreement you can't exactly tell the GM what happned. At most you could lie and say you let a friend play it and was wondering if it's not active, if you could reactivate it.
