the reason i ask is when i played WoW the server i was on was almost non existend when i was on.

Yes there are tons of people online when I play, about 75% of which are Japanese since Australia shares roughly the same timezone as Japan. American players there aren't really too many of until late, like 5:30am when they start to come on in dribs and drabs. My personal experiences with American players are that they're generally really tired by the time I come online.
