odorous knife latent - how do you activate it?

Just a wild guess... have you tried a Deodorize effect?

Hmm...does deodorize wear when you attack something? If so...um....that would make testing impossible and the latent meaningless. If not it would just be dumb and impractical. I'll try it though, just for kicks.

also maybe you only get the latent when you attack tonberries... worth a try i guess

Yea, Deodorize is ... well, I said it was a wild guess.
Tonberries are probably a better area to try. Maybe if your tonberry at a certain level?
Possibly when used with the Pendant or when its latent is active?

why are you using the knife? just use it to spawn a precious green guy who has a magical pendant :)

Because for a lvl 66, Odorous Knife+1, if you can keep the latent active, would be by far the best dagger at that level.
