Color Problems

ok when i turn a file from DAT to MQO and then i edit the file on paint and it comes out perfectly and exactly how i want it but when i open up the file in modelviewer, whatever i turned into a different color comes out exactly how i edited it on metasequoia but with the original colors how do i make it so it comes out in the color i turned it into? :X i hope that made sense...

did you save your file in paint?
did you convert back MQO->DAT?

Did you convert it to DXT3?

SOmetimes I ignore the BMP and just edit and save the .dds itself, it saves alot of hassle.
Since it seems that the modelviewer reads the mcd and the .dds before the bmp.

i cant say i know exactly what i did or how to explain it but i managed to figure out how to do it. thanx anyways guys
