http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/shared/smilies/moogle.gifHello again, Kupo!http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/shared/smilies/moogle.gif

2) HQ1/2/3 results for all recipes
3) Guild points! # of synths to max, GP/gil and an appendix listing all GP recipes in order of value for money
4) All known vendors for ingredients
5) Opening hours and holidays for vendors

8) Food effects appendix now lists the actual major stat # for each recipe
9) New appendix lists recipes that do not require fire crystal

Features in the first edition: Vana'diel Cookbook 1.0 (http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=24&mid=1116195909394071712&num=43)

Possible additions for the next edition (no time soon):

1) More info on where/how to catch fish (the sticky on this topic is a bit outdated)
2) Info on signable/not signable items

The Van'adiel Cookbook - Valefor Second Edition (2.1) is available for download in Word or PDF format from the following:

Microsoft Word (1609 kb) (http://rapidshare.de/files/3102005/vanadielcookbook2.1.doc.html)
Adobe PDF (1161 kb) (http://rapidshare.de/files/3102064/vanadielcookbook2.1.pdf.html)
Compressed (Zip) Word (280 kb) (http://rapidshare.de/files/3102120/vanadielcookbook2.1.zip.html%20)

Note the PDF doesn't show the pretty Wingding clock for opening hours, but you can still see the needed subscripts after the ingredients.

EDIT: The above links no longer work. Taskmage provided the following link a few posts down and it does work so please use this one. It is a zip of the MS Word doc.:

http://tinyurl.com/3xcx7v

Instructions:

Click the link above. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Free" button. At the bottom of the next page there will either be a timer or a vanadielcookbook2..1doc/pdf/zip link. If there is a timer wait until it gets to zero and the link will appear. Click the link to download the file. (Sorry it's complicated but it's the best free way to get the needed bandwidth.)

MHMU reminds everyone to always virus-scan downloaded files and only runs macros you know should be there. There are no macros in the Vana'diel Cookbook.

Happy cooking!

That's great dude. I've been looking for a list of recipes, but none of the other ones out there I really liked. This one I do :D

Glad everyone likes it(I used to be nightwolf but lost my password and forgot my name and stuff during a long break I took)

Anyone know if a later version has been released?

 Wow! Nice guide, started to print and realized it's 60 pages!
Guess I'll just keep this as a PC reference tool.
Thanks!

Nice. Very nice.

oO quick note: Apple au Lait, page 1 of "A" section. You have "Wild Cookie" as the HQ (I don't think there is an HQ). A little overzealous with the CTRL-V, perhaps? ^_^

Is it just me having problems downloading this?

Could someone who's managed to get it please email it to me: oyoyutaru [at] googlemail [dot] com

It won't let me download it ; ;

Seems horrible for me to request for something in my first post...

But can someone please, please, please upload this Cookbook on some other free upload server, or e-mail it to me? As it is, Rapidshare.de and Megaupload never did like Singapore.

Or maybe it just doesn't like me.

I can't see any reason why the authors would object, so here. Zip of the word doc is attached.
