The next version update will bring the following changes:

-Chain Bonuses in Level-Restricted Areas
Currently, when fighting in level-restricted Chains of Promathia areas, EXP chain bonuses are determined by a player's actual level. However, after the version update, bonuses will be determined by the player's level within the area. This means adventurers will soon be able to earn extra EXP by defeating multiple enemies that are "even match" or higher, just as if the player was fighting in a regular area.

-Slight Adjustments in Experience Acquisition
The player will soon be able to earn experience from monsters of a slightly wider level range than previously possible. As a result, experience points earned by defeating "decent challenge" and "easy prey" monsters will slightly increase.

Check the FINAL FANTASY XI main page for more information as it is released!

Not that I kill a lot of DC and EP, but any xp increase is good for us. Also, I'm curious to see if we'll be able to actually xp in level restricted areas. Before the xp was horrible if you're unrestricted level was high. With this, areas such as Riverne Site - #A01 might make a good xp location for BSTs. ^^

Not just BSTs either, I frequently farm the Promyvion areas usually focusing on EMs because they always seem to have the best drops. So if my friends and I (Should be easy since it's 3 of us) can chain the EMs better we'll be getting like 200+ EXP then, good stuff

True, true, there are some good xp areas for parties as well. Also, since BSTs will be targeting DC-EMs for pets and Ts to maybe VTs for prey, parties will be targeting ITs of course, there would be no huge conflict between BSTs and parties in these areas.

I would think BSTs would be able to exploit level-capped areas where there are many EM-type charmables. I'm not familiar enough with specific enemies in the level-capped zones to know precisely which ones can be used this way, but I do remember seeing BSTs in Phomiuna charming jellies and wiping the floors with everything near the zoneline, for instance.

Actually what Icemage states is basically how you do it. There a method when you start out also were you just starting throwing many weaker monsters at stronger ones. A good BST is able to kill VTs and depending on the monsters they fight even some ITs and possibly even chain them for more EXP.

EDIT:

Anyways for what this threads original post shows don't know if you realize but you can find this same topic in http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48332

alot of times when i was lvling bst, some mobs would spawn tough, after i killed them an they spawned again, they were D/C. so this should help us out in uncapped areas as well..

Maybe good for low levels but how long can you really stick to one area? A couple of days maybe? Not be able to use AF, new weapons, etc. I rather stick to Boyhada tree and get my spider webs every 30 min. instead.
