fun with spelling! a summoner adventure

so i was bored and i decided to try to solo Shooting Fish, level 20 BCNM. basically you use ramuh and astral flow, then Judgement Bolt twice and win.

i made a macro with /ja "Judgement Bolt" <t> and went in. (macros are good for blood pacts because you can use a macro blood pact 5 seconds sooner than you can use the menu).

summoned ramuh, attacked NM, hit the macro, nothing happened. died and home pointed.

i mention this on LS and orage says "i had the same problem during Tenzen fight, i had to do it manually"

couple hours later, bored again, i go kill the sozu NM that can drop light spirit. i kill placeholders til it spawns, fight it, and it uses astral flow. win the fight, no drop. but i remember seeing something funny during the fight ....

so i scroll up, and there in the chat log, ramuh readies Judgment Bolt. so i lost the BCNM because S-E spelled it differently -_-;;

Haha, yeah SE omits the "e" on that for some reason. I did something similar (my fault though not SEs for funny spelling) with a macro I had for the Memento Muffler. My macro wasn't working during a BCNM and I examined it later and found that I mispelled and had "Memento Mufflef." Doh! So from now on I use the auto-translate function to get the correct spellings for my macros.

it's spelled with the "e" in the translator :( that's partly what threw me off

spell name: judgment bolt
translator: judgement bolt

Auto-translator spells it "Judgment Bolt" too. :P

While both are technically correct spellings, the one with the extra E is the variant, and the one without it is the standard, according to a few different dictionaries.
