FFXI: Has it changed?

ok I have played this game before, but I have not ben on in so long it got deleted. I'm starting over, is that a good idea? because about 2 or 3 months ago I was on..and there was like nobody on at all barly anyway. So, has FFXI got more people? should I come back or not?

dunno where you played but on my server there are always at least 2,500 players online at the minimum. Over 4,000 on JP week end peak times. It's been like that for a long time never really changed
