View Full Version : Is there a quest to get lower level scrolls?
Hello all after hours of trying I ended up giving up on my quest to get into Titan and now I'm on Midgardsormr. I'm leveling Blm up right now to about 10 and then I'm going to make the switch to to whm to about 10 and then go on from there and then just go Blm/Whm on out.
But right now I'm too poor to go and buy Cure spell for the 1k and most other spells so I was curious if I could do quests to get these? If I get 3 more fire crystals I could just sell those at the AH for 4k and that would help.
Thanks for the help.
Which city did you start at? Don't get those spells from AH. Check them at the local NPC stores. Cure should cost less than 100 gil. Also gather crystals and AH them in stacks of 12, will be more than enough to support you for the time being.
Thanks Jei, I would love to be playing with you , you sound like a great guy with loads of advice.
I did this and save around 900 on each spell.

Quick question. It sounds like your new to the server. Have you done the sub job quest already? If you have not then you'll have to lvl blm to 18 in order to sub whm. Once you get into pt's it goes by rather quickly.
I was planning on going 10 with blm, then changing main to whm and goin to 10, then 18 with both and then doin the subjob quest and taking it blm/whm all the way out.
I thought someone told me to do that awhile ago or is it useless? Should I just go 18 with blm then do the subjob quest?
mm i recommend getting 18 straight with 1 job and get sub job quest ^^ Even better is to push it a little further to level 20 for chocobo.
levelling from 1 to 10 with sub job makes your life much easier. I'm sure you will not want to do it twice without sub job.

I totally agree. Go to 18 with blm and finish the sub job quest.

How far are you on your BLM? If you're not that far, you might want to take WHM to 18 first instead. WHM is a much easier job to solo, for various reasons (mainly stronger weapons and they can heal).

hello, im on midgard server. best place to buy spells os magic shop port sandoria. best way to level is this, go to ghelsba outpost, just kill easy preys. heres the reason for this, one quick kill little to no down time. the more of them you kill the more gil you get and the more items are dropped. fire crystals selling for 5k to 6k a stack on the ah. all items that drop have a value. learn to sort inventory and make regular trips back to town and sell items. talk to the npcs in town do some quests. alot of good items can be had for free. level first job to 18 or 20. get sub job quest. then start 2nd job. if you need help with anything especially getting sub job items send me a /tell in game Minimee good luck and welcome to midgard

If you're going BLM/WHM as your permanent job,
-Take WHM to 18
-Get subjob
-Start up BLM.
-By the time your BLM is 36, you will need to raise your WHM some more so that you have a full subjob.
Also, eventually you may want to level RDM up as a subjob to your BLM as well. You get more INT so your spells stick better and do more damage (though not a whole lot, but any bit helps), and at 64 you get Dispel (a very important spell that only RDM and BRD can use). But, always have WHM subjob available. RDM is just optional if you get the time, and you can always get away without it as a subjob.
Also, the best race to support Black Mage is Tarutaru. You have more INT and MP than anyone, and that's what BLM is about. But if you don't care and just want to play another race anyway, more power to you, you won't be shunned. Race is fully preference, but of course different races have different pros/cons. Also, remember you can't change your race in the game without starting completely over. So pick what you would enjoy playing as.
