anything new in the patches since last yr

Im Very tempted to come bak to ffxi but i wanna ask has the battlespeed and to get to the 2nd job any easier now ???
what im really concerned wif is the pt'ing is the min and max lvl between the players changed or issert the same like 3 - 4 lvls apart only ....
has the been any way for pt'ing easier then sittting there for hrs sometimes waiting for invites ???
sorry for all the questions but i jus want to know if any patches change or did tings like tat ..... or maybe someting better .......

-the min and max is the same, but the exp needed to gain a lvl has been reduced lv50+

-No, you still have to sit around. But there have been so many new features added if you are just sitting around then you're not taking in the game fully.

-There have been many patches..
there are tons of quests, new fishing, a new PVP area, CoP missions are great and while hard..very rewarding (on a story basis)..and of course tons of new items.

PT invitation is quite the same... except rangers now are also 1 of the most wanted jobs too ^^;

Not sure when you leveled your DRG. I can't say for myself either, since I had a set PT. But if you browse various forums, it's fairly common knowledge that many DRGs are being turned down for parties just because of their job.

Other melee have it better, but still face problems.

A request to party coming from a BRD is much more inviting than that coming from a DRK, unless the DRK specifically mentions "Oh, I have a tank and healer with me too."

I'm personally a huge opponent of the "Go make your own parties and all your LFG woes will end" philosophy. More often than not you end up missing one key job (i.e. Refresher, or Tank) and sitting in Jeuno in a futile wait for that job to log on.
