Content ID

Alright, so I am coming back and I have an old contentID and I made a new one (I know, wasn't thinking, could have just used the old one).

Now both are activated and I cancled the old one, except it wont go away til the end of this month... How do I know which contentID to link to my handle? I dont want to get to the end of the month and find that the content ID I was using was the cancled one and then lose my character.

Or does it happen that my character will just move to the contentID that stayed?

It makes sense that "Content ID 1" is the original Content ID and "Content ID 2" is the new and subsequently deleted content ID. Having it any other way defies all reason.

Rest assured Square Enix will not allow you to use deleted content IDs when registering as this is their source of long term income sop your "binding" to the handle will almost certainly fail leaving you with but one other content ID to choose.

Well the thing is, when I create a character and go to play it, it says "Link to this handle", which has 2 content ID images at the bottom. So I can actually link both of the content ID's to the one handle.

The only thing that bothers me is that if one is suddenly deleted, then the character will be gone.

See it says I still have 10 days to use the old content ID and then it will be gone. I could wait 10 days, but I really don't want to. =P

You think it wouldn't make a difference if I link both the Content ID's to the handle?
