I just went out and pick this up due to my friend suggesting i get it.I was wondering on the economy and are there alot of people using hacks/bots to get the unfair advantage.I ask this cause i used to play Diablo 2 alot and the bots destroyed the economy and eventually ruined the game for me.
Im a big final fantasy fan and have played almost all of the games here in the US.He told me i wouldnt be disappointed if i got it.I was fixing to get WoW but I got this to play with
him.
ok onto my questions.
Is there PvP arenas?
Which job do you believe is the best and why
I have a crappy computer right now will i get good framerates with these specs?
1.6 ghzP4
384mb of pc 133 ram
geoforce2 64mb pci video card
How do i get to my friends server?
and how is the tetra master card game?I was a big fan of it in 9 and im looking forward to playing it in this game.Is it worth the 75 cents a month?
Is it still 13 a month to play this game.
Sorry for all the n00b questions from me.Thank you in advance for any and all replies

There are bots, but this game can't really be hacked so no one has any illegal spells or anything that they shouldn't. The GMs do work to try and get rid of bots and gil sellers, but like any law entity most of the time the only ones to ever see them in effect are the ones they are after.
Right now there is a game in the game called "Ballista" these are PvP matches turned into a game with an objective to win the overall game. The catch is these matches you only do at certain times, must be lv. 20 (or 30, forgot), pay a fee depending on the level restriction, and have completed the quest to do the ballista matches.
These matches do not win you anything off that person for beating them and you don't loose EXP if defeated, if you win the overall match then a cash reward is given. These matches are not exactly 1vs1 but a group vs. group.
You can always try testing your system to see if it'll work with the Benchmark Software (http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/multimedia/download/bench/) that's on FFXI's Offical Website but the specs look good enough to play it, maybe not at it's best visual but still decently.
To get on a server of choice you have to have someone on that server provide you a World Pass (WP) that will allow you to enter that Server. You can also keep making and deleting your character if they do not end up on the server you want, but the WP is faster.
Don't know about the Tetra Master never registered for it.
The monthly fee's are $12.75 a month for your inital character and an additional $1.00 for any characters after or more precisely each extra Content ID you purchase. A Content ID is a slot for you to make a character, the Content ID holds only 1 character and that character can be made and deleted from it without effecting what you're monthy payment is for it.
Also SE will standardize your payments to occure on the 1st of every month. So after your first free month any time left till next 1st of the month SE is pro-rate the price between there. So say your free month expires on the 16th, SE will pro-rate the 17th to the day before the 1st and on the first charge the regular monthly fee for the next month and the pro-rate for the previous days you've been playing. This generally means your first payment to SE will seem to be a little higher then normal.

Is there PvP arenas?
- There originally were nation vs nation battles called Ballista. Now there are places for guild vs guild battles that will be added in the upcoming april patch. But as of yet there is no "random violence" pvping.
Which job do you believe is the best and why
-Well I would say the bet job at the moment for usefulness and "fan favorite" is the Black Mage. They are always needed in parties, linkshells, and the like. People seem to love Black Mages skill for killing.
I have a crappy computer right now will i get good framerates with these specs?
1.6 ghzP4
384mb of pc 133 ram

-I don't know much about graphics cards, but this game is made specifically to run on as many different PC configs as possible. If you'd like to see how well it will run on your PC download http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/multimedia/download/bench/
the benchmark. It will explain everything on the site.
How do i get to my friends server?
- your friend can buy a world pass, which will allow you to input a code that will let you get on his server.
and how is the tetra master card game?I was a big fan of it in 9 and im looking forward to playing it in this game.Is it worth the 75 cents a month?
-to be honest I've never played it :(
Is it still 13 a month to play this game.
-yep
