Clearing things up about "return home to vanadiel part 1"

I used this forum to search information about it but it was mostly a state of confusion, i chatted with a FFXI TSR and here's the conclusions

1- part 1, taking place this month is to recover their POL account, thats it, no deleted characters will be brought back, there's no if about it, it even states so on the official site so im not sure where the confusion came from, but i made sure to ask him many times and its like on the official site

2- I asked him if i could buy a new FFXI content ID and start a new character, and then recover my deleted character in june, but the answer was pretty much :confused: i wish i had copy & pasted the chat log but i'll try type it as he did, "There shouldnt be problems but its not guaranteed", i then replied "not guaranteed?" Yikes, he then says that it will depend on the registration date, elegibility can not be discussed. So Basicly, its probably a bad idea to try this, SE will probably pick the POL accounts who had no FFXI activity for over 90 days, so if you create a new one now, there's a big chance SE wont pick you up even if its for your character thats been deleted for nearly a year. Just assumptions since the TSR guy didnt want to say anything on elegibility for part 2, but i aint the one that will try this to see if it works or not when June comes.

Well I just finished chatting with the TSR 10 mins ago and here's the exact chat:

FFXI TSR Gary A.: Hello, Raph, thank you for contacting the PlayOnline Information Center. Just a few moments while I review your question, please.

FFXI TSR Gary A.: No, we can only recover characters that have been deleted within the past 90 days.
FFXI TSR Gary A.: After reviewing your account..
FFXI TSR Gary A.: Your whole account has been deleted off the servers.
Raph Ng: what's the return home to vanadiel for basically?
FFXI TSR Gary A.: You wil be able to get a new account and character back through a campaign that we are running on the 14th.
FFXI TSR Gary A.: Part I, you will get a new account and in Part II, you get your character back.
Raph Ng: that doesn't apply to me does it?
FFXI TSR Gary A.: It does apply to you.
Raph Ng: even part II?
FFXI TSR Gary A.: You will be able to be apart of Part I and Part II.
FFXI TSR Gary A.: yes.

Raph Ng: That will give me back my current POL ID?
FFXI TSR Gary A.: A new ID.
Raph Ng: So how does Part II apply to me? since I am not able to get my old character back

Raph Ng: because I haven't played since may of last year

So based on what he said, it's pretty clear that it is at least possible to get your 1 year old character back but that will be in june. And I sure hope I do or there is little reason to come back as I do not have much time to start from the beginning again.

Hehe, thats the same guy i chatted, with, Gary. He says the same thing he said to me, pol in april, character in june.

Kinda stupid promotion imo, wtf are peoples gonna do with only POL?

Unless you wanted to start from scratch.

Or communicate with friends/LS members and let them know your coming back. Use the chat feature to keep in touch with whats going on in the game. (Yes I know you can do that on this forum too.)

Now the question I have is, in the first part they give you back your POL access but can you also access the game? There are POL registration codes and FFXI registration codes, do they renew both in Part 1? or just the POL ones? Subsequently, does that mean that Part 2 activates your FFXI codes which in turn gives you back your old character?

The reason being, if you can access the game via Part 1, what if you create a new character. When they give you back your old character is it just added as another Content ID or will it overwrite the current Content ID?
