has there ever been people playing ballista at like lvl 10?

I think you have to be lvl 30 to register for a ballista license or whatever.

There's a minimum rank to get a license, rank 3 I think.

Also, matches are restricted in level range in addition to being capped. So level 60 matches I think are like 51-60 range, that sort of thing. Makes sense to try and keep things to reasonably effective party members since the game attempts to balance sides within a 1 player difference if at all possible.

Close to what truenoir said. I don't recall the cap levels restricting to a lower level limit however. I do recall something about players of lower level getting some sort of adjustments when facing a player of higher level in ballista to match them out a bit better (With that adjusting so a 10 lvl difference can be more evenly matched at times).

If anyone was able to join a ballista match as a lv. 10 then it would of had to be Intentional and probably a bit difficult to accomplish considering the ballista areas are not lv. 10 friendly.

Also would have to be just to goof off, can be alright as long as you aren't in a ballista were the two teams are seriously fighting against eachother.

I'm actually pretty sure there is a minimum level cap now, though there wasnt before

21-30, 31-40, 41-50,51-60, 61-75 i think

I've never been under the level cap, so i cant say for sure, but i'm pretty sure i read it last time i signed up for ballista

Yes your correct, the new updates specificalyl state that lvl 10 and 20 are what you can set it to as well as the other lvl caps as normal (30,40,50,60,nocapetc)

Everyone else posting here saying its not possible , well check the lastest update patch from the official SE website for FFXI you will see. Lvl 10 with liek 120 hp LOL thats just crazyyyyyyyyy

I like the new 20 cap a lot.. its much more fun than i thought it might be.

10 cap is fun i guess i play as WAR/THF with GAxe... @ 10 WAR seems to be the best job for Ballista, which is pretty funny.

Did the level 10 ballista as Sam/Rng with my LS... Pure entertainment. Jobs like Pld, War, Sam, Blm, Drk did really well. One guy went as thief... Poor guy was useless. :dead:

I would imagine a job like DRG would be very good for lvl 10, they would have wyvern, a stong 2 handed wep, and lvl 10 ability, Jump o_O
