Ah, beeing stuck on an all japanese server and not being able to speak a word of Japanese. You see, my friends, those were the
days.
(gets up from his chair, starts walking away with his cane)
yes...the golden days.....
(walks into a wall)
Damn, forgot my glasses.

Even nowadays you can get into a JP party. You just need to know what you're doing. Most JP are fine using the auto translator. I spend over half my EXP time in JP parties, as a rank 1 NA...
Valkurm is good with the right party, but yeah the noobs on NA primetime make it hell...

I most definitely do, but not because of the people. The game was just more enjoyable with a smaller number of people on each server. The eventual amount of inflation and the greed of many players has made the game, economically, a nightmare.
Other than that, I enjoy the game just as much as when I first touched it. Having more of my friends playing is a blessing~
Yup...I do...It was fun logging in for the first time...using my 2-hr in the middle of Bastok because I had no idea what was going on...Ah, good times.
::waves at Geno:: Hey there! It's Etra from Fallen Angels! I don't play on Lakshmi anymore...=x
I try to play during JP times and the game feels very much the same as before (kinda easier now that I no longer had to learn japanese on the fly while PTing with JPs ^^)
With some addition of english group here and there it makes the game even more dynamic IMO.
Level below 20 is extremely hard tho since hardly any good PTs are formed at all. After 20 it gets better.

I do miss the old days (JP PS2 to NA launch). There was a sense of wonder in doing new things back then. Everyone was similar levels and all was new. There were no RMT and much less annoying shouts in Jueno.

You're also a god....er...I mean mage that people of all nations grovel and worship =P.
I've gone entire weeks with nothing but JP parties as a RDM. I probably got more JP parties in one week as a RDM than I did in nearly a year's worth of playing melee.
I miss the days when sniper rings were Benzes and Haubergeons were Ferarris. Now sniper rings are Hondas and Haubs are Toyotas.

I agree ^^ Being a mixed child(Blackanese0 There was such a sense of wonder when I onlined. I still get that feeling, however its only between the hours of 9AM EST to 2PM est, 10PM EST to 4AM EST.
Other than that I stick mainly to LS activities and guild skill up.

What I miss is the blessed silence! I might only have been able to piece together a few things or occasionally ran across someone that spoke a smattering of English, but one thing I didn't have to listen to was the incessant whining! LOL Doesn't mean it wasn't happening, I just couldn't understand it! LOL

LMAO! Me and a few friends from beta say the exact same thing. "Boy, those were the days," "Riding a chocobo used to be the pimpmobile of transportation," "Long live Cactuar!" Although we're from diffrent worlds, i know how you guys feel minus the jp language barrier.
