Anyone here play on a laptop? Just wondering...cuz i play on a labtop and occasionally it just shuts down on me whiel playing FFXI. Has that ever happened to anyone playing on a laptop?

I play on a laptop and it has never shut down on me. right now im running a pentium 4 with a mobile ati 9600 video card. it seems to be working fine.

make sure your venting/cooling your laptop. Dont play on your "lap" or other cloth/soft surface, that will directly absorb the heat, w/o dissipating it somewhere.

Also dont run on just the battery alone it gets drain alot faster then if your just browsing for example.

The shutingdown could also be the similar problems that the stationed computers have trouble with too. Some people not using laptops and even the PS2 (Very Rarely but has happened to me once on it) will suddenly shutdown.
