Moving Characters between Servers... not possible at all??

Is there any way at all to be able to move characters between servers?

I'm on carbuncle but there's considerable lag sometimes and it really bothers me.

I think hades was my original computer-picked server and it wasn't bad at all.

I believe all servers performance are all the same... I rarely got any lag no matter what server I visit.

acualy yes thre is ONE way to change servers...but I dout it will happen again and f it does it wont be for a while.....

when SE needs to even out the servers they so a server migration, you sign up at the designated NPCs when SE says that tehre is a migration and after the sgn up period is over, they move you.....ubt like I said, they have not done this for a LONG time.

happenned only twice during my 5+ years in FFXI. don't count on it.

Actually this would be it's 3rd-4th year depending on how you look at it.

EDIT:

Correcting myself again depending on how you look at it if you are trying to go of it's offical Japanese release then you could say it's spanned over 5 years, but it's been in play for roughly 3-4 years.

Its every year now,they had one like 6 months ago, they're gonna have one this year I bet.

They only have server migrations to accomodate for an influx of new players, and these happened at the NA and EU launch respectively.

Sweet, if there is a way for characters to change servers you let me know.
I been told if you talk to Play online or Gm, but Gm never do anything right.
I have two servers due to problems and want my characters to be in same servers.
