anyway colin76110, it really depends on what you like to do.

if you like magic and melee go for PLD or DRK

RNG and NIN will cost alot of gil to level up due to the tools and ammo you will need.

if you want to go for pure melee go with SAM or DRG

if you would like to solo go BST

and if you want to just sit back most of the time and buff the PT go BRD

I know this is not much....but I hope the little info I gave will help you :p

Kissboys usually takes the piss out of Dragoon any chance he can get, so I think it was two birds with one stone :p

Good thing about jobs is that you can change what you want to be, so test them all out and see what you prefer overall.

or a job that can use Full God set well (War, Mnk, Rng, Brd, Nin)


Seriously though.. being Drk for such a long time, its clear that Drk is such a dead end job lol. I've even talked to most Drks that have been drks around the same time I have. We've all gotten basically almost full or full adaman cursed and when you get to that point where there is not much you can do except spend tons of gil buying seemingly useless items only to look special it gets to be a drag.


The need of a drk = Closing Light (possibly closing Dark when needed), and Stunning, and physical damage only. Whats Absorb? Lvl2 spells.. lol weeee.

If S-E gives Drk lvl 3 spells Drk would be too much power with A rank in elemental skill. We would deal more damage than Rdm with elemental magic.

Every person views their job as a dead end job cause the grass is always greener, simply put. DRK are amazing for HNM situations due to stun and well placed WS for mad damage. They're incredible for the Wyrms as well, seeing our DRKs in action no way shows me they're a dead end job. Only draw back is soloing capability, which nearly all melee lack.

Damage and everything is great but it gets very boring after awhile lol.
