Congrats.

I know the feeling, having obtained it myself on our last BCNM run. I was having a terrible string of luck with BCNM, basically getting 20-40k worth of junk each run, then my last 2 runs I got Utsusemi Ni/Phalanx, then Erase (which I promptly used on my WHM). My luck seems to be better now though.

Keep at it... it can make you very rich, very fast.

I know... I'm almost there. As it is, I'm only 3.5k exp away from using my Amemit mantle, and then next level I'll have curaga 2. At 64 I get erase (or dispel if we are fighting something that really needs it). Cool thing about BST, always something to look forward to.

Heh, I remember my first BCNM 40... There were 3 BSTs, a bard, a whm and a Ranger. I got erase AND phalanx :)

i went and did it again yesterday. Some bastard skipped ahead and took my turn and got utsusemi Ni. While i had no choice but to take his turn, I ended up with absorb-STR and refresh :mad:

At 64 I get erase (or dispel if we are fighting something that really needs it).

unless you have a death wish, or really enjoy tanking those mobs, i'd advise against Dispel as BST.

a) Dispel = OOBR Hate!
b) RDM can get away with it, because we're (generally) low on the Hate chart.
c) a BSTs pet keeps very little hate.

a + c = dead bst. ;;
